Rocketry Project

Sub-team Summary:

The Operations sub-team is responsible for managing all of the project’s finances, budget overseeing and re-budgeting, conducting orders, organizing flight operations (transportation, etc.) and many other micro-processes.

Position Description:

An Operations Manager is responsible for:

  • Managing and supervising the finances
  • Overseeing the budget as well as re-budgeting
  • Conducting and monitoring all orders
  • Preparation of all bureaucratic procedures for orders made through the University
  • Contacting companies to resolve pricing and costing issues
  • Organizing flight operations (transporation, etc.)
Preferred Skills:
  • Candidates with a Business Administration, Accounting or Finance background
  • Ability to understand general financing and budget, including results, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Ability to provide practical and reliable solutions
  • Excellent organizational and communicational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
