A.S.A.T. participated for the first time in the ACC (Air Cargo Challenge) Competition, which took place in Zagreb, Croatia. The model that competed in the contest was Nephele 2, a hybrid balsa-CFRP aircraft, which features a high-lift lightweight airframe, configurable geometry and a low cost design. The team came 12th out of 36 participating teams and first among the Hellenic teams, in addition to coming first among the newcomer teams. Our engineering skills were highlighted by us having the second smallest budget in the competition.
