This member of the team is specialized in researching composite materials (Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass, Kevlar), manufacturing methods and analysis models that accurately predict their behavior. He/she is responsible for the design of components made from composite materials, their analysis and also their stress/weight ratio optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing composite materials to meet specific performance criteria.
- Conducting research on new materials and manufacturing processes to enhance the properties of composites.
- Creating and testing prototypes to determine the suitability of materials and manufacturing processes for specific applications.
- Developing quality control procedures to ensure that composite materials meet specific standards.
- Analyzing data on material properties, processing parameters, and mechanical behavior to improve composite performance.
- Collaborating with other engineers and technicians to design and implement manufacturing processes for composite materials.
- Evaluating and selecting suppliers for raw materials and equipment.
